The start of the new broadcast concept at Telebasel is a success: Dominik Prétôt, CEO of the regional broadcaster, says: “The first audience reactions were very positive. With our new concept we have set a new standard for the TV and web presence of regional broadcasters. ” Prétôt further explains: “Our new Telebasel news portal is at the forefront in terms of both technology and design and is tailored precisely to the needs of our viewers. We offer access to all of the content of the news portal, you can keep your finger on the pulse of the region 24/7 and find out everything that moves Northwestern Switzerland. ”

The Basel startup appamics, founded in 2012, played a crucial role in setting the new standard. It was selected from the company Neko Interactive as a partner for the technical conception and implementation, for the web and app, as well as the various technical interfaces. Neko developed a cross-media and cross-platform corporate design for Telebasel which was implemented in the web, app, TV studio and print media for the #allesneubeitelebasel introductory campaign. The staging of the news in the new virtual studio and the talk programs with the animated background displays is unique for a regional TV broadcaster.

Appamics designed a technology concept that enables quick access to news articles, video content, live programs, weather and stock market prices on the web portal and app. Users can watch programs and news segments live on their mobile device or access them in the archive. The concept included the integration of the national online marketer NZZ-Netz.

The quality of the responsive framework gives the editorial team optimal leeway in staging the content on the website, regardless of whether it is mobile, tablet, desktop or TV.

Christoph Bratschi, CEO and co-founder of appamics, comments: “Telebasel can easily record program content, group it and quickly place it in the media library. The focus is on the non-linear linking of the content cross-media via rubrics and platforms. The platforms can be flexibly adapted to new conditions just as easily. “
